There was a time when I felt lost. My body had been through so much—pregnancy, induction, pre-eclampsia, chronic stress, C-sections, trauma, and pain. I struggled with confidence, feeling disconnected from myself, my body, and my purpose. But over the years,I found a way to heal, to rebuild, and to rediscover my strength—not just physically, but mentally and emotionally. That journey led me here, to the work I do now, helping women step into their own power, reclaim their health, and start truly living again.
This is why I was beyond honoured to be nominated for the Mighty Women Awards 2025, in the category of Inspirational Women Making a Difference. Even more incredibly, I was highly commended for the second year in a row. To receive this recognition for something I am so passionate about means the world to me. But what means even more is the transformation I see in the women I work with—the ones who come to me feeling broken, stuck, or unseen and leave with renewed confidence, strength, and hope.
Women’s health, particularly when it comes to recovery from C-sections, chronic pelvic pain, and pelvic floor dysfunction, is too often overlooked. We are expected to ‘bounce back,’ to carry on, to put everyone else first. But the truth is, we can’t pour from an empty cup. I know because I’ve been there. I know what it’s like to feel unheard, to be dismissed, to believe that pain, discomfort, or shame is just ‘the way things are now.’ But I also know that with the right support, guidance, and tools, we can heal.
Through Space for Her, I have dedicated my work to creating a safe, supportive space where women can reconnect with their bodies and take control of their health. Using a blend of physiotherapy, kinesiology,Pilates, therapeutic coaching, and mindfulness, I help women move beyond survival mode and step into thriving. Because we deserve to feel strong. We deserve to feel good. We deserve to take up space.
Receiving this recognition has only deepened my commitment to this work. Looking ahead, I am expanding my services to reach even more women who need this support. These will be more than just physiotherapy sessions; they will be full-circle healing journeys incorporating mind, body, and nervous system recovery.
I am also continuing to grow my online platform, so that women who may not be able to see me in person can still access the guidance, education, and support they need to heal. Because every woman, no matter where she is, deserves to feel whole again.
If you are reading this and feeling stuck, if you are struggling with pain, confidence, or a sense of loss over who you used to be—know that change is possible. I am not special. I did not wake up one day magically healed and confident. I had to do the work, take the steps, seek the support. And so can you.
Healing is not linear, and it is not easy. But it is worth it. And you are worthy of it.
I am so grateful for the recognition from the Mighty Women Awards, but more than that, I am grateful for the incredible women who trust me with their journeys. If you are ready to take your next step, I am here to walk beside you.
Let’s make the next chapter the one where you start thriving.
